Fond du Lac-Based Wells Tech Team Serves Critical Needs of Automotive Service Professionals in North America who are Searching for Troubleshooting Techniques  

FOND DU LAC, Wis., February 15, 2016 — The technical services team at Wells Vehicle Electronics in Fond du Lac is celebrating a huge milestone as its locally produced series of diagnostic case study videos recently surpassed 10 million YouTube views. The series provides critical and timely troubleshooting techniques and diagnostic process case studies to technicians for free through the popular social media platform. Created in Fond du Lac, Wis., for technicians nationwide, these free, award-winning videos are available in English and Spanish through the “Wells VE” channel, “Airtextech” channel and others on YouTube and the www.WellsVE.com website.

“The technical services team here at Wells is very unique. Not only are we all ASE-certified professional technicians, but we’re passionate about this industry and in serving the diagnostic needs of automotive repair professionals,” said Mark Hicks, manager, technical services, Wells Vehicle Electronics. “We’re constantly analyzing the field, what’s happening in service bays across North America and curating top-notch content that answers the diagnostic dilemmas techs are facing ­– in real time.”

The series started more than 3 years ago and quickly gained popularity. The Wells Tech team includes Mark Hicks, (Fond du Lac); Mike Becker, (Sheboygan); Dave Miller, (North Fond du Lac); Jim Gehl, (Slinger); Fritz Fuchs, (Fond du Lac); and Glenn Rogman, (Fond du Lac).

More than 19,700 automotive service repair professionals subscribe to the company’s three YouTube channels. Produced exclusively by the technical services team at Wells Vehicle Electronics, the team actively researches, writes and produces in-house each case study video. Each video is produced entirely by a Master Automotive Technician. “Our technical videos serve the needs of today’s automotive service professionals across the United States who are actively searching for timely service recommendations,” Boer said.

Each video addresses a complex diagnostic challenge automotive service repair professionals commonly see, and walks technicians through completing an accurate and efficient diagnosis and reaching an effective resolution.
