Cooling System

Helping Engines Keep Their Cool

Engines today are generating more power and engine heat than ever before. This means modern vehicles require more efficient cooling systems and higher-quality cooling system components than they have in previous decades so they can keep the engine at an ideal operating temperature.

SYSTEM Summary

How Does a Vehicle Cooling System Work?

When a vehicle’s coolant temperature sensor reports that the engine is too hot, the engine control module (ECM) will activate the engine cooling fan in order to extract the excessive heat in the coolant moving through the radiator and a series of passages within the engine block and cylinder heads. This entire process is monitored and controlled using the data gathered by the coolant temperature sensor.

Wells Vehicle Electronics coolant temperature switches and sensors are made to perform at the highest level. We manufacture and rigorously test our products to meet or exceed OE specifications to ensure vehicles’ cooling needs are met.
