We believe everyone has the right to a safe and healthy working environment.
We also believe we earn the right to operate our business each day by being purposeful and effective stewards of the environment and that all environmental, health and safety incidents are preventable. Our safety and industry certifications demonstrate our commitment to these principles.
ISO 14001 certification requires Wells Vehicle Electronics to monitor and control the environmental effects of its activities, products and services. ISO 14001 also assesses energy usage, waste creation disposal and general environmental awareness.
Our goal at every stage of the manufacturing process is to reduce waste and minimize the use of hazardous materials while preserving our natural resources. All materials entering our plants are evaluated for potential environmental effects and end-of-life recycling or disposal.
General Motors, Daimler Chrysler, Ford Motor Company and most European automakers require their suppliers to achieve ISO 14001 certification. Wells achieved this in 2003 and was one of the first engine management component manufacturers to attain this critical environmental certification.
The ISO/IATF 16949 certification ensures auto manufacturers adhere to stringent quality standards throughout the design and manufacturing process.
Some of the best-known automotive brands in the world—including BMW, Daimler Chrysler, Fiat, Ford, General Motors, Peugeot and Volkswagen—require their suppliers and manufacturers to hold this certification in order to remain a Tier 1 supplier.
Ford Motor Company’s program requires a supplier’s facility achieve excellence in four critical areas: capable systems, continuous improvement, ongoing performance and satisfied customers.
Wells first earned the Q1 award in 1989 and has held it since.
This certification demonstrates technical competence in the testing, calibration and consistent operation of laboratories: electrical – EMC/EMI testing, environmental testing and mechanical testing.
At Wells Vehicle Electronics, we are committed to designing, building and delivering quality products that meet or exceed our customer’s expectations. We also conduct all design, manufacturing, packaging and distribution activities in an environmentally responsible manner.
