Ignition Control Modules
Summary
The Ignition Control Module controls the firing of the ignition coil/s so it can create the voltage the spark plugs need to ignite the air/fuel mixture in the engine cylinder. Ignition Control Modules will also provide timing advance and retard features.
Wells Vehicle Electronics Ignition Control Modules are manufactured to meet or exceed OE fit, form and function.
The Ignition Control Module is located under the hood on the engine, distributor or firewall.
If your vehicle is experiencing one or more of the following, it may be time for a new Ignition Control Module :
- No start or engine misfires
- Increased emissions or failed emissions test
- Check engine light remains illuminated
