Crankcase Ventilation Systems

Summary

Crankcase Ventilation Systems

The positive crankcase ventilation system (PCV) routes unneeded and potentially harmful gases from an engine’s crankcase back into the combustion chamber. Wells produces one-way PCV valves that routes these gases back into the combustion chamber.

If the Crankcase Ventilation System is not functioning properly, a vehicle may experience:

  • Excessive high idling
  • Poor performance or fuel economy
  • Check engine light is illuminated
