Air Bag Impact Sensor

Air Bag Impact Sensors detect when a crash or collision occurs. If the crash is severe enough, the sensors will send a signal to the air bag control module to deploy the air bag(s).

Wells Air Bag Impact Sensors are designed and tested to meet or exceed OE specifications for fit, form and function.

Air Bag Impact Sensors are found behind the front bumper as well as in the A, B and C pillars, which are the vertical supports within a vehicle’s structural system.

If an Air Bag Impact Sensor is not working as it should, the air bag malfunction indicator light will be illuminated.
