Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor

The Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor monitors the pressure in the exhaust system to determine the amount of turbo boost to optimize engine power.

The Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor is located under hood.

If a vehicle displays one or more of the following symptoms, it may need a new Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor:

• Sluggish performance
• Poor fuel economy
• Increased emissions or failed emissions test
• Check engine light is illuminated
