Emission Control Sensor

Exhaust Gas Differential Pressure Sensor

The Exhaust Gas Differential Pressure Sensor’s function is to monitor the pressure of the diesel particulate filter for the powertrain control module to determine if regeneration is required.

Wells pressure sensors are designed to meet or exceed OE part specifications for fit, form and function.

The pressure sensor is located under hood, typically on the firewall.

If a vehicle displays one or more of the following symptoms, it may need a new Exhaust Gas Differential Pressure Sensor:

  • Reduced performance
  • Poor fuel economy
  • Increased black smoke from exhaust
  • Increased emissions or failed emissions test
  • Check engine light is illuminated
