Engine Intake Runner Control Sensor

The Engine Intake Runner Control Sensor monitors the position of the flap or valve, which varies the length of the intake manifold runners. Varying the length of the runners enables engine performance to be fine-tuned to increase horsepower, torque and fuel economy.

Intake Runner Control Sensors are engineered and tested to meet or exceed OE parts in fit, form and function.

The Engine Intake Runner Control Sensor is located on the intake manifold.

If the Engine Intake Runner Control Sensor is failing, a vehicle may display the following symptoms:

  • Reduced fuel economy
  • Reduced performance
  • Increased emissions or failed emissions test
  • Check engine light is illuminated
