Crankshaft Position Sensor
The Crankshaft Position Sensor measures the rotational speed and position of the crankshaft and relays that information to the engine control module (ECM). This information is used to control the ignition system and fuel injection system to achieve optimal performance and efficiency.
Wells Vehicle Electronics Crankshaft Position Sensors are engineered and tested to meet or exceed OE components in fit, form and function. OE-style brackets, hardware, spacers and weather-tight connectors are provided for installation.
The Crankshaft Position Sensor will be located on the transmission bell housing or at the front or rear of the crankshaft, which is on the engine block.
If your vehicle is experiencing one or more of the following, it may be time for a new Crankshaft Position Sensor:
- No start or hard start
- Loss of acceleration
- Poor fuel economy
- Engine misfire
- Excessive emissions
- Check engine light illumination
